Recently we turned our office into a sitting room. Which is not completely decorated yet. This space has not been fully decorated since we moved in about 4 years ago! It is the first room that you see when you enter our home so it’s driving me crazy that it still is not finished! When our home was being built it was meant to be one big dinning room. Since, we didn’t need such a big dinning room we decided we would divide the space and have a wall put up. We had a large desk with hutch and a filing cabinet which was the size of a night stand. A few pictures and curtains that was it! The walls were bare which still are. I just can’t decide on what to put up on the walls! I’ve looked and looked but nothing has caught my eye. Since the transformation from office to sitting room we have gotten rid of all the office furniture. Now, we have two chairs and an ottoman that we had in our living room. The space is now lightened with the dark office furniture gone. I have been looking on Pinterest for some inspiration on how to complete the look.
I love the colors in the one! The pink, gold, and navy compliment each other so well. I am trying to have my whole house mesh together so I don’t think that I will be doing anything similar to this. Although, you never know in the future.
I would like to add doors similar to these. Right now it is just an open space. I think adding doors will really help separate the space.
These colors are similar to my bedroom decor. I was thinking of painting the walls in the office a light gray but, it still is up in the air. I also love the blinds!
This room has a lot going on but that’s what I like about it! The different mix of colors, the décor, and pictures make this space full of life!
These colors are very similar to what I am trying to achieve. I am loving to cool tones right now. I have a lot of dark browns in my house so I am trying not to add any more and to lighten things up a bit.
Something like this!! Minus the coral and flowers! As I mentioned before light colors makes the space feel so much bigger and open.
